1966 Fender Electric XII serial #172645
Finish has been stripped, body repainted (grey primer) and neck has been clear-coated.
Professionally refretted (Dunlop 6105). Replaced tuners, vol/tone knobs, pickup selector knob, and tone potentiometer. Pickups and all other hardware look original, pickups have signed 1966 dates on underside. Body has been stamped “ES” under the pickguard, apparently this was a stamp used to indicate “Enter Special” for custom orders, but also is also commonly seen on guitars made in 1966. There is a non-standard extra switch that is not currently in the circuit, don’t know what that was intended for, possibly bass roll-off?
Unfortunately the date stamp is no longer on the neck heel, on the underside of the heel is a “G” pencil mark.
